    YOU BASTARDS!!!

Man ;_; I just missed the C-U gumi's fun day yesterday! I went to JAC right around 3:00, didn't see anyone, figured nothing was going on, pouted a bit, and went home by 4. Now I log on, and krisit tells me there was a genki party, and they were at my house looking for me while I was at JAC looking for them. ;_; Fucking hidoi, you guys! I'm going to kick your asses on sheer principle the next time I find you! ._.#### ^_^

Gah. I am SO bored. Maybe I'll cook tonight.

On an amusing note, while Nerrie was copying my Big-O for me, she got addicted to the OP and ED. She actually WANTED the full-length OP, and made movies out of the OP and ED. XD Poor nerrie! XD

Random link of the day: the official Argent Soma page. Note the incorrect greek spelling of the show's name. ;;^^

    Yousei

I've been watching Argent Soma yesterday and today. Gosh, it's cool. :D First I watched 1-8 raw, and then 1-2 subbed, and it makes SO much more sense subbed, because they're slinging around greek mythology and alchemy and references to frankenstein ;;^_^ If you get a chance, try watching the show; I think it's interesting, even if I by now want to STRANGLE Hattie. Her voice is too high pitched, and she's always screaming 'IYAAAAAAAA!!!' when there's a battle, or ' YOUSEI-KUN!' at the giant alien/mecha. ( whom the scientists call Frank, the military call 'Bigfoot', and the little girl calls ' a really big fairy.' ) Hattie's interesting though; she calls Takuto Kaneshiro/Ryu Soma a fairy when she first meets him too. ;;^^ She even draws a picture of him when she's drawing all her weird fairies ( which look like birds and cats and your standard fairies - her jiichan told her that humans could be yousei too o.o ) I dunno, he doesn't look like a fairy to me. ;;^^ He's apparently a ultra-kawaii bishounen gone surly because of the death of his girlfriend in the first episode. ;;^^ The giant mecha killed it trying to escape from the scientists ( of whom he and his girlfriend were a part ) and so now he wants to destroy the mecha/alien. Stuff ensues. Alien invasions from outer space. :D Wai wai neko wai dom wai! :D

I'm gonna watch Yami no Matsuei #1-4 next.

My weekend's devoid of meaningful activities, as you can see. :D

What the hell was I *SUPPOSED* to have done?

My mother is such an ass. Today it's snowing very heavily, so much so that visibility is a block at most when you're driving. I don't have classes on Fridays, so I'm supposed to go in to my lab and work on my research project. I drop off my parents, and when I get to my lab, it's dark, and no one's there. I let myself in, and wander around, swirly-eyed, until someone informs me that the electricity has been off for at least 30 minutes. Then I'm like...' er, well, if I can't even turn on the lights or any machines, and if the heat is off, I might as well go home. I can't get anything done with no power.' I drive home, and call my mom to let her know where I am. Her reaction: " Why did you go HOME?" ( Implication: You're supposed to do research on Fridays! ) Me: There's no POWER. I can't even turn my machine ON. Her: Then did you pick up your paycheck? Puu: There's no power in that building EITHER! How are they supposed to find my check, with a flashlight? Her: .....you should have stayed. Puu: No, I shouldn't have. Bye. :P

I hate driving with my parents when it snows. I'm perfectly capable of driving at almost-normal speeds, and I have experience driving in heavy snow, but they are such fricking backseat drivers, always clutching at the dashboard when I brake, even if I stop a full carlength behind the car in front of me. -_- It gives me a headache to hear the nonstop 'slow down. you have to pump the brake. you have to turn carefully. slow DOWN!' ( me: I'm GOING 20 MPH! ) that I hate driving with them in the car when it snows. Hell, they still tell me how to drive after five years of experience with no accidents. -_- And as krisit can tell you, I'm totally a boring driver compared to her. :D

I think maybe my medication makes me drowsy, because whether I get 5 hours of sleep, or 9, I'm still dead tired in the morning. I dunno.

Gosh, Brilliant 4 U gets stuck in your head like anything.

Been playing more BAG 2, and got um...the Capoeira-clones, Shorty's little thing, Hustle Kong, and Robo-Z Gold. Shorty's levels are sooo easy! Hell, I got 50,000 points vs. Pander, and fever-timed vs. him o.O I think I'm gonna go play more now :D

I hafta fever-time in mix mode with robo-z to unlock pander? ._.##

" Well? Does it look like an elephant, or like a pig?" " It looks...like Mr. Garrison!" " Now isn't that a fascinating coincidence! This gets first prize!"

    Dammit, Kelly's the only one who I've managed to reach Pander with. Beat with Heat and Hiro-kun, so I finally got Michael Doi as a character in BAG 2. I think I'll play with Comet next; I was surprised to see that her player 2 costume was much different that her player 1 baby-blue-roller-sushi-waitress costume; she's wearing some kind of black...tight...leather...short...S&M...h0-outfit. @_@;

As a bunch of you know, I ordered a cel yesterday; it's of Chidori-Ceres from Ayashi no Ceres. :D I always liked Chidori, and Ceres, and it's well-night impossible to get Ceres cels for under Y15000 or so. This one was like Y7500 or Y8000 or so - bad, but I can handle that. @_@;; But it's so cute!

I really like my winamp skin; it's of the anime-grownup-Enishi, and man, he just has this really ominous flat stare. *_* Tie him up, and give me a tazer to defend myself with, and I'll glomplie him! ^_^_v

I just found an EMS ( Emergency Medical Services, I believe ) sick humor page. Man, I feel the pain; I was a member of the local student EMS group for university event for a year or two. Upside: Free admission to university events = free basketball, football, hockey, orchestra concerts, etc etc. Downside: Hanging out with your fellow volunteers ( who were usually creepy, annoying, or both ) and...well...stupid people. :D Hence: " You Might Be in EMS if..."
You refer to someone in severe respiratory distress as a "smurf"...
Your idea of a good time is dueling shock rooms...
You have ever wanted to hold a seminar entitled "Suicide...Doing It Right"...
You feel that most suicide attempts should be given a free subscription to "Guns and Ammo" magazine...
You believe that "too stupid to live" should be a diagnosis...
You have ever had to leave a patient's room before you begin to laugh uncontrollably...
      Your favorite hallucinogenic is exhaustion...
You think that caffeine should be available in I.V. form...
You have ever restrained someone and it was not a sexual experience...
Now, granted, I never had to deal with *quite* all this sort of stuff when I was doing this, since I was only minimally certified, but my cousin, who's a doctor, tells me all this crazy shit that he runs into. Especially when he rotated in the Psych ward, with the paranoia delusional schizophrenics, who would tell him that 'they heard voices that told them to do things' and he would have to try not to giggle or sweatrain. ;;^_^

Nice new OO for today, Emi. :D

Turns out that I'm NOT going to Chicago this weekend after all -_- ( Sheesh, my parents keep pushing it back week after week after week ) so I'll be at JAC this week. waiwai! Krisit, can you burn my a copy of your YnM eps, since I'm gonna be DSL-deprived until a week from now? I'll trade you for the Argent Soma eps :P

o/~ Some of them want to abuse you...some of them want to be abused... o/~

I really do apologize for all the blogs yesterday. I read all blogs before starting this one, so hopefully it'll be OK today :P Tamanyu, nice new layout, and krisit; damn, you change layouts faster than I do! :D Like it too, though. You didn't use enough random phrases for it to be truly pretentious, though. no 'bleeding wings' or 'sorrowful songs'?

Whew! That's it. Weird, eh? If you want MORE random words for groups, try here or here. :D

I don't know why I felt like looking that up; I just did. :D

Last night I finally got around to playing BAG 2, and beat it with Kelly. Kelly scares me; she talks, poses, and dances like a naughty crossing guard. Even the way they say her name makes her sound like a pr0n star. But I fever-timed every time, even with Pander, I think. @_@ Pander scares me! ;_; Krisit, I'll try to get Pander as a playable character by the time you visit next, OK?

Which reminds me of Julie's description. " Imagine, if you will, a man. A skinny man, stripped naked. You dip him in white paint, and dress him in tighty-whities. Then you put a sock on one foot, and shoe on the other, paint him like a panda, and make him dance ballet."

Christ, this is a lot of names.

If you're interested in Vedic Astrology, this is a rather interesting page. See, when you go to a temple, they ask for your name, Gothram ( uh...it's the name of your guru, your Brahmin priest, I guess, and I'm of the Siva Gothram, since we're Shaivites - Siva-worshippers - and don't honestly have a guru. ) and your Nakshatra ( sign.) Mine's Revati, which is in Meena, the Fish. ( Pisces, natch. ) I couldn't tell you which star is yours; it's like FY's Chinese astrology, darnit. :D

And this is how nocturnal animals are physiologically different from diurnal ones. ^^

Okay, this blog has been one long list of random stuff. I'm sorry, I'm just surfing and randomly finding stuff. ;;^^

Whoa, creepy. I knew all about Lady Bathory, who bathed in human blood to preserve her beauty. What's creepy is how this page seemingly idolizes her. Our DEAR Elisabeth?! Damn, lemme check on their page on Vlad Tepes. ._.

Oooh, found two cool new NG - alt.mythology and alt.mythology.mythic-creatures. *_*

What the hell? I mean, I love the Beatles too, but this is just non-stop ass-kissing.

Just read Dess' blog and thought I'd weigh in on the 100 greatest albums of rock 'n roll according to VH1. The sheer number of Beatles albums in the top 10 appalls me. ;;^^ I own them, but dammit, Revolver was SO not their best album. Hard-core ass-kissing.

    The albums I own from that list are...uh... 1, 2, 5, 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, 43, 44, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 54, 56, 60, 65, 67, 69, 74, 79, 88, 91, 92, 94, 96, and 99.

o/~ Now I'm not the world's most masculine man, but I know what I am and I'm glad I'm a man and so is Lola... o/~

Gosh, late last night I had this interesting layout idea. It'll have to wait for a while, but I tell you, I get the weirdest layout ideas from the music I listen to if I just switch on the radio after midnight. My november layout, the one with Julia, was inspired simply by catching 'You Can't Always Get What You Want' on the classic rock station at 1 am and actually listening to the lyrics o.o This particular layout idea is inspired by Jefferson Airplane, so ph34r :D

Of course, last night I also heard Lola. ^^

Matt - don't listen to Krisit, she's a h0. You weren't a bad host at all; you did the bathroom runs and all! :D If we really wanted to know everyone's names we could have asked them directly and vice versa; as it was, 'you' worked well enough, as krisit says. ^_^ Next time you can introduce us all, but I'd prefer that you had cymbals so you could crash them as you introduced each of us, or something. ^_^

Things in the news that worry me:

Some fucker ran an oil tanker aground at the Galapagos Islands. Why the fuck can't they spill oil in places that don't matter? -_-

And some other fuckers bought twin babies over the Internet. Can't people just keep using it for surfing pr0n sites? Why do they do this?

' The Holy Land Experience', a Christian theme park, just opened in Florida. My my. You can take your kids down a replica of the street Jesus walked down before he was crucified. o.o Why would you go to a THEME PARK for a religious learning experience?! Wouldn't staying home, and, I dunno, reading the Bible or something make more sense?

And Bush's first move was to cut international funding for groups that support abortion in third-world countries. ' "It is my conviction that taxpayer funds should not be used to pay for abortions or advocate or actively promote abortion either here or abroad," Bush states in the order. The order prohibits the allocation of U.S. funds to groups who support abortion, either by performing the procedure, or offering abortion counseling or lobbying governments abroad.' Aiya--- Well, here's RoevBush.com ;;^_^

The PTB are suing some 15-year old Singaporean girl over a Harry Potter domain name.

SurrenderedWife.com. Why shouldn't BOTH husband and wife learn when to shut up and be supportive of each other, eh?

One of the members of the fake boy-band, 2gether, died of cancer at 16. @_@

Okay, Abby wanted me to talk about what I thought of CTHD, so I will. I liked it; it was a good movie. The unreal action sequences reinforced the whole 'fairy-tale' feeling of the movie. The acting was good, the scenery was gorgeous, and the fights kicked ass. But I'm not orgasmic over it the way a lot of people are; I don't know why. I'd gladly see it again, but I found it less powerful than, say, 'Traffic' , which disturbed the hell out of me, mostly because I sat through the movie half-cringing, waiting for things to get even worse. ' He's going to shoot him. I just KNOW he is.' CTHD is a beautiful, worthwhile movie, and I'll be happy if it receives the acclaim that it deserves. But I won't be drooling over it as much as everyone else seems to. ^_^ And yeah, I agree with Krisit; in fact, it was my observation in the first place. If magic doesn't work in that world - I know, I know, but they seemed more into exaggerated physical prowess than magic per se - then Jen's actions at the end of the movie make everything that everyone had done for her - Lo, Shu Lien, Li Mu Bai ( dammit, I can't remember his name! ;_; ) - worthless. It wastes all their sacrifices, dammit!

Anyways, that's enough for now, I think. I should work on something useful. Oh, BTW: John Ashcroft is Pentecostal. o.O;; IIRC, aren't these the guys who speak in tongues and stuff? Oh, right, I remembered something else I read. When Ashcroft's father, a Reverend, was dying or something, he anointed his son with Crisco oil from the kitchen. ;;^_^ The deal is that Kings in the Bible, such as Saul and David, were anointed with Holy oil as their coronation of sorts, isn't it? o.O;; Kowai...

    Sic transit gloria fucking mundi.

    Heh.

Um - I know I meant to blog about something but I forget what it was. Ah yes. I guess I'll throw in my two cents on the whole sak.net talk. Yes, the site's beautiful. Her layouts always are beautiful. But they're always so uber-stylish you have to hunt for the damn content of the page. I know it's there, and I know it's pretty good. But I only knew how to find it because I've learned through painful experience how the webmaster designs. Wave your mouse over anything that might be a DHTML scroll arrow, click on anything that's a different color than the rest of the layout, don't hope to be able to read the handwriting font. ;;^_^ I'm a webmaster, I've had a page for over four years now. I can't design such lovely pages, and I'd have to bow to the webmaster's 1337 sk1LL0rZ in that department. But my philosophy is that if your page is designed so that people have to hunt for the content, it's a badly designed page. And man, do I hate full-screen design. ^.- It implies that I should only be looking at the page in question, which in my case I'm not likely to do; I've probably got about five or six windows open. ^_^ It's just annoying.

This is pretty funny in a sick sort of way. ^_^

Since the link for new ACen guest that I just posted doesn't seem to be working, here's the guest list:
Kia Asamiya - Character Designer - Nadesico, Silent Moebius
Yoshitoshi Abe - Character Designer for Serial Experiments Lain
Range Murata - Character Designer for Blue Submarine No. 6
Naoko Matsui - seiyuu with large track record in voice acting, some of her credits include Akane from Kimagure Orange Road, Rally Vincent from Riding Bean, and Azusa Shiratori from Ranma 1/2
Shin Nasagawa - From Squaresoft, Character Designer for Final Fantasy IX and the upcoming Final Fantasy X.
Yoshio Yamakawa - Also from Squaresoft, Monster Designer for Final Fantasy IX and the upcoming Final Fantasy X.
    Hot damn. :D

I think I might be going to Chicago this weekend, so I may not be there for JAC. But it'll be fun nonetheless, eh?

I'm trying to decide what to buy next. I want to buy the Legend of Basara manga, but I'm fighting it tooth and nail; I shouldn't start buying stuff from another long series, goddamit! :D Basara is 27 fucking volumes! o.O and I still have to finish buying Hameln!

OK, here are things I'd like to buy/ finish buying...
      Basara
      Hameln no Baiorin-hiki 34-35

...and that's all I can think of now. Christ. @_@ I need to start selling my crap on ebay to finance the new things I want. I think I *might* get rid of my RG Veda artbook, too - anyone want it?
