Monday, February 12, 2001 :: 01:19 p.m. Oh wow, so you DO speak English? I wonder why people sometimes assume I can't speak English. Have they never seen a foreigner before? o.o; XD People have assumed I speak Greek, Spanish, Hindi, Turkish, Arabic - you name it, I'm probably supposed to speak it. I was a good girl and went to allll my classes today. It's amazing how I can fake knowing third declensions in Latin. ;;^^ After class I tried to pick up my Chidori-Ceres cel. It was delivered over the weekend, but I only got the slip Sunday night. The Urbana post office is not in Urbana; it's approximately in the middle of nowhere. ( Seriously; I drive through the back country roads to get to Rt. 130 and Rt. 150, which is the armpit of the universe, and that's where the main Urbana post office is. It boggles the mind; why didn't they put it, I dunno, IN Urbana? ) So I arrive there with the slip, and they said, " Oh, look, unless you call this number during normal business hours, they'll try to deliver the package again. SO try to catch your mailman!" " Um...the mailman usually delivers at 11am." " Oh good! So go catch him!" ( It's 1 am now...who's going to be home at 11 am anyways...oh hell. Forget it. I'll come back here at 5. ) So I still am without my cel. ;_; Um...had a fun weekend. Played Diablo II, played with my sister's new boxer, Lucius. He's pretty damn cute. I'm still annoyed that my parents insisted on 'family time' so that I couldn't go DDR with Janeru, Genri, and Ed. ._.# I went to the Mitsuwa, DDR'd before an easily-impressed audience. Six songs, average of A for all those songs. yay me. I'm most pleased about doing afro-nova, luv to me another, and paranoia rebirth and STILL averaging an A. But I swear, DDR'ing in my boots meant that my legs were about to fall off halfway through paranoia. _O_ My mom wanted to get me a DDR machine until I informed her that they cost $13,000. Then my parents wanted to get me a hard DDR pad, but I felt guilty and told them to wait until May, when i graduated, to drop $130 on a DDR pad. ;;^^ Hm; in #fy Yak is telling me about the Chinese legend that Houshin Engi is based upon...*grin*

About a year ago someone online was trying desperately to get me to watch Ebichu but I never had time to d/l the eps. :D Got a rejection from Duke the other day ;_; Oh well, hopefully I'll get an acceptance sometime soon so I can stop fretting o.o I'm working on my PSoH page now. :D I finished my six-page prelim report on my assigned disease for my healthcare class; I don't know how I find time to do all my schoolwork with all the lazing around I do, but I do. Wrote six pages in half a day, proofed it, added citations, printed out a slew of research to support it, and it's ready to turn in. Then I logged on for a game of TorT. :D The real problem with my Celexa is that it's making me sleepy all the damn time. Celexa is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor ( SSRI ), so it gives me elevated serotonin levels, but elevated serotonin levels make you very sleepy as well as genki. ( You know how after Thanksgiving, and you're full of turkey, you're full of goodwill towards the world but you just want to sleep forever? Turkey contains some amino acid...Trp, I think - which can be converted to serotonin. That's why you're genki and sleepy. ) I'm happier than I've been in a long time, but I'm so TIRED all the time, too. I sympathize with Yukito's never-ending urge for sleep. X_x I need to stay awake 12-2am to listen to Loveline for my healthcare class, but I'm always ready to fall asleep at 10:30. Of course, the fact that my parents make me go to campus at 8 am when I don't have class until noon isn't helping the situation any. :P I have to choose between getting enough sleep to last through my classes and doing my class assignment. :P I don't know if I prefer this. I like how Celexa makes me feel human again ( as opposed to a seething, sleepless mass of irritation and self-loathing ) but goddammit, I need so much sleep now. I wish I could still pull off 20-hour days like I could before I was on medication. She also told us when to come to the Orchid and to C Street - you guys~~! Let's goo~~! She was trying to get a theme going so that people coming to the clubs will wear something different than their usual 'clubbing uniform.' Last time she said she wore a Saran Wrap dress.

Today ( or yesterday ) involved the triumph of Team Hentai at Damon's ( with photographic evidence ), making Krisit feel violated both with Pander and with Disney Rave...much Disney Rave...dubbing me 'The Enabler' when I ride shotgun with krisit ( me: FASTER! FASTER! ) and Matt's first trip into Lix. Oh, we also discussed how Pander would h4x0r or work as a coder...we played Crazy Taxi in Krisit's car...interesting fortunes...and much, much Disney Rave. @_@ ( I didn't even get to show krisit Pander vs. Pander in Pander's stage. ;_; She told me to turn it off after only three stages! ;_; ) Y'know, stiletto heels are a bitch to walk in. You can't balance in them at all, you have to walk really carefully, and you're standing on the balls of your feet. O_O It must hurt. Now Playing: Oh Nick. o.o Friday, February 2, 2001 :: 07:41 p.m. The 11th Commandment: Thou shalt not hump thy TV, no matter how many of thy favorite seiyuu are in one show. I watched the Saiyuki OVA #1-2 and Saiyuki TV #1. I suppose it's not normal to break into maniacal laughter when you hear all the main character speak for the first time. o.o I'm afraid that I am SUCH a Ishida-kun and Seki Toshihiko h0. I'm even starting to become a total Hoshi Souichirou fan. o.O Here's the seiyuu list. I will note, however, that the seiyuu for Sanzou in the Saiyuki OVAs is NOT SekiTo. The Saiyuki character designs are rather interesting. Sanzou, the chainsmoking, drinking, gun-toting priest, looks like he has a perpetual hangover, and usually is scowling and veinthrobbing. He can pull a halisen out of hammerspace to smack the hell out of the three youkai accompanying him ( usually Gojou and Son Goku, who are always fighting. ) Ishida-kun's character, Hakkai, is perma-niko-ing, as could be expected, and has a pet chibi-dragon, Hakuryuu ( natch ) who can turn into a Jeep. No, seriously, that's how they get around; they drive. When faced with a crisis, they a) smoke. b) get really smashed. ( even the chibi-dragon drinks. ) and then c) kick ass. It looks like it'll be an amusing show. But I must NOT hump the TV. I also did a LOT of screencaps from episode 13 of the Big-O. I also made some mp3 files of R.D screaming; you can find them here. Should be obvious, but I realized it today, when trying to discuss something with my parents. ;;^^ I was supposed to go to Chicago tomorrow with Krisit, for half a day, to pick up Gregly. We'd leave at noon, and come back in the evening. I asked my parents, and at first, they were like, 'fine.' Then about six hours later, they asked, ' when are you leaving?' ' She said about noon.' ' Why not in the morning?' ' I don't know.' ' Why don't you go on Saturday?' 'She has to work. I'm going with her, I can't tell her when to go!' ' So she's leaving at noon tomorrow because she's working all night tonight and will be driving sleep-deprived?' ' NO! I didn't say that!' ' You can't go because she might be sleep deprived.' So I call her up. Turns out we're leaving at noon because she has class until 11, and she's going to bed early to get enough sleep. So I tell my parents that. ' When will you be back?' ' 8 pm, she says.' ' That's too late.' ' WHAT?' ' It's after dark, in winter. We don't want you to get stranded after dark.' ' .......!' ' Puu, you're kidding me.' ' I can't question, I just obey. I don't know if I showed anyone my new keychain - probably not - but I went to ArtMart Toys to try to find a replacement for my Badtz Maru keychain. I hunted through their Sanrio corner, but the only keychain I could find was this tiny clear one of a Sanrio character I didn't recognize. So I'm like, eh, fuck it, and I bought it. Then I hunted through the Sanrio page to find out who the hell this was. And I quote :

If you unscrew the top, inside there's a tiny tiny chip of rose quartz and a folded up piece of orange Landry stationery, about the size of my little fingernail when it's unrolled. It's so incredibly cute. But, of course, if anyone feels like replacing my flashing-head Badtz Maru keychain for my birthday...:D ( yeah, yeah, I know they're just charms to be hung from your backpack. But they function best as keychains here. ) My Argent Soma soundtrack got shipped today! Waiwai! I should be working on my Chronic Fatigue Syndrome paper for my healthcare class. But fuck it. I'll work on it later today. It's due on Tuesday. And I still REALLY like Fight Club. Damn, that's subtle - you know that scene in the beginning when "Jack" calls Tyler, and he hangs up, and Tyler *69's him and calls him back? ( heh ) - well, there's a sign on the phone which says " No returning calls." @_@ Sure, krisit, I'll drive up to Chicago with you tomorrow. *huge yawn* But as I said, since I finally got Pander as a playable character ( seems that all you have to do is beat the game with all ten characters + Robo-Z in normal ) you must see. :D Man, Pander's Fever-time dansu is scary.
